We’ve all dealt with anxiety at one time or another, especially in college. But what if you’re suffering from anxiety that’s recurring? These anxiety attacks can be distracting from class, and make it hard to focus on your work. Anxiety disorder in college students can be crippling at times, but it can be dealt with.

Anxiety Disorder is a generic term used to describe anxiety attacks and other related issues. Typically an anxiety attack is a random feeling of anxiety coming over the user, but it’s generally much stronger than what the average person experiences. It can be accompanied by fear, paranoia, distrust, and in some cases violent outbursts. These outbursts are unintentional and the person can’t be blamed for them.

Anxiety attacks are beyond peoples control for the most part. People who suffer from these attacks often try to go to their doctor for help but all they do is give medication. Medication is just a band aid solution; it treats the symptoms, not the problem. Not to mention it’s dangerous and can damage your liver and other parts of your body.

There are a few things you can do to treat the problem yourself. Being a college student means rushing here, rushing there, and never eating right because you are busy. You need to take some time out to exercise everyday. Even if all you do is stretch every so often just do something. Anxiety can be most violent when the person suffering the attack has pent up energy from not doing anything.

Once the attacks start you can do a few things to control it. Make sure you stay calm and keep your breathing level, and slow. This will help you maintain your cool during the attack. Above all stay calm; it’s just an anxiety attack, no ones actually going to hurt you. Keeping your head during these attacks can help the attack pass quicker, and can make it more bearable.

Another option you have when the attack hit’s is to meditate. Meditation can help clear your mind, and if your mind is clear then there is nothing for the anxiety to prey on. Of course meditation and exercise can help anyone’s health in general. But practicing these repeatedly during an attack can help lessen the affects. When practiced over a period of time they can in fact eliminate the anxiety attacks all together.

College students do have a lot to be anxious about. They have to worry about getting good grades, passing tests, keeping gas in their cars, doing homework, and eating when they can. As you can guess it’s a real hectic lifestyle. Many college students suffer from anxiety disorders in some form or another. But most manage to work through it, although the never seek to treat the problem and it carries over into the rest of their adult life.

If you are suffering from anxiety attacks and are a college student know that you are not alone. Anxiety disorder in college students is a rising problem, but there is help available. Just find a way to deal with it and do your work. Also remember to not get worked up over things that are out of your control.

Anxiety can be a crippling problem in anyone, and many adults suffer from this problem today. But children often suffer from anxiety as well. Anxiety Disorder in Children Treatment is very different from treating adults. It can be very frustrating for a child to have this problem, it can also be disabling if it’s bad enough.

Anxiety in adults is a constant feeling of anxiousness. It doesn’t matter where, when, or why there’s just always a feeling of anxiousness when an attack hits. You can be in the middle of a party with a lot of people, or you can be in an empty room. It doesn’t really matter; the attacks just strike at random. Some people do have a specific thing that sets of their attacks, but that doesn’t make it any more bearable.

When children suffer from anxiety problems many parents will often misdiagnose it. They will think their kid is acting up, or has ADD. They will then take the child to the doctor and the doctor will prescribe a medication that the child is to take for the rest of his or her life. This isn’t a good thing. Medications that they give adults to treat anxiety can cause severe side effects and liver damage.

When they give them to children the effects are even worse. Treating a child that suffers from anxiety is difficult, but the first step is to recognize that it’s anxiety and not ADD. The next step in treatment without using medication is to try to figure out how bad the attacks are. Some can range from light paranoia and a feeling of being watched, to outright panic which leads to curling up in the fetal position and crying.

After you’ve figured out how bad they are suffering try to figure out if any specific thing triggers it. If they have something specific that sets them off then work with them to overcome their fear of it. Remember children don’t think like adults, so you have to be simple, and make sure you stay with them every step of the way. If they have no specific trigger then you need to take it a step further.

Make sure the child gets exercise, obviously stretching routines are hard for a child to follow, so just make sure they do something physical to wear them out. Sometimes anxiety can be a result of to much energy and not enough activity. So this can help treat it. Meditation sometimes works for adults, but again we are dealing with a child here. Technically all meditation is is an extremely relaxed state of mind, so do something with the child that gets them to that state of relaxation. Another method to helping is to have your child breath slowly.

It’s never fun dealing with anxiety, Anxiety disorder in children treatment can be done naturally. If you want to treat them without medication then you need to find the cause of the anxiety. After finding the cause start talking to them and teach them there’s nothing to be afraid off. Then do an activity that will tire them out physically, and then do something that will relax them completely. It’s important to keep a person relaxed during an attack.

Anxiety and panic disorder symptoms are extremely troublesome to the individual that suffers from severe forms of anxiety disorder. To some degree, most teenagers and adults have experienced some form of anxiety at least once in their life. The nervousness experienced on the first day or school or starting a new job, the pounding of the heart prior to stepping in front of a crowd to conduct some type of presentation, the shallow breathing and immense tension felt when taking a driving test, the fear experienced when you see a patrol car zooming in on you with their lights on – all of these symptoms are common to the anxiety and panic disorder symptoms that sufferers experience.

It is normal to feel some form of anxiety and panic throughout your life. However, if you experience panic and anxiety that is so severe that it affects your general quality of life, you may be suffering from the physiological effects of a condition that is referred to as “anxiety disorder” or “panic disorder”. When the body perceives a situation, event, or person in life as a threat, it responds in a natural manner. This response is called “anxiety”. While there are many positive aspects to this occurrence, there are situations in which anxiety is simply excessive and overwhelming to the point that it is recognized by medical professionals as a unique medical condition that affects both the physical and mental health of the individual suffering from it.

It is important to understand that anxiety and panic disorder symptoms differ greatly from one person to another. This evidence is based on the fact that when it comes to anxiety disorder and panic disorder, there are groups of individual conditions. For example, one patient that experiences anxiety may only do so when they are subjected to crowds and another may have a fear of public places due to the fear that germs will invade their body and result in sickness. Symptoms are directly related to the exact anxiety and panic disorder that an individual suffers from. However, they can be broke down into two separate categories. These categories include physical based symptoms and symptoms that are related to the emotional side of an individual.

Anxiety and panic disorder symptoms that are physical based result from the response to a threat that the body experiences. This is typically referred to as the “fight-or-flight response”. Symptoms may include tension that occurs within the muscles throughout the body, contractions or tremors associated with the muscles, quick developing mild to severe headaches, and even complications in breathing such as fast, rapid breaths or the feeling that there is not enough air coming into the body. This may or may not be accompanied by feeling the heart pounding, sweating immensely, and feeling dizzy to the point in which it feels as if fainting will occur. In addition to this, gastrointestinal complications such as vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur. Typically, an individual that suffers from anxiety and panic disorder will often experience high levels of fatigue and potential sleep complications such as insomnia.

The emotional based anxiety and panic disorder symptoms results from the threat that the body perceives in a situation or event. As a result of the threat that the body perceives, the brain begins to feel the effect of the threat. An individual may, in turn, begin to experience symptoms such as fear and basic worry. Many patients have described the initial feeling of dread when anxiety and panic disorder symptoms begin. Severe fluctuations that are associated with the mood may begin to occur and could result in irritability, depression, and feeling restless. Many individuals will experience mental challenges such as the inability to focus as appropriate, loss of concentration, periods in which they “draw a blank”, and being easily startled. It is common for an individual to feel as if they are in immediate danger and they will actually come to anticipate that something “bad” is going to happen.

There are many medications that can be prescribed to treat anxiety and panic disorder symptoms. These include antidepressants, Tricyclics, and others that are similar in nature. In addition to medications, there are therapy options for the anxiety disorder sufferer. One can participate in specialized therapy such as “cognitive-behavior therapy” and “exposure therapy”. Unfortunately, when it comes to prescription medications, there are many negative side effects that may occur – such as more severe symptoms. Therapy, while deemed positive in most instances, can prove to be negative due to the fact that one is subjected to treatment that a particular therapist knows or practices and it may not be the right treatment for the patient as an individual. You may be pleased to know, however, that there are many natural anxiety and panic disorder treatments available that can assist in soothing the symptoms that are troublesome.

Natural breathing techniques are considered to be one of the most popular treatments for anxiety and panic disorder symptoms. When implementing the use of breathing exercises, one does not have to worry over negative side effects. The mind becomes calm and the nervous system experiences a natural “toning”. The physiological responses that pose a danger to your immediate health, such as increased blood pressure, rapid heart beats, and respiratory challenges quickly diminish when using breathing techniques. Learning to control and manipulate breathing can be extremely beneficial to reducing the negative effects of anxiety and panic disorder symptoms. If you suffer from anxiety, avoiding synthetic drugs and often intrusive therapy techniques can be a productive move. Choosing natural treatments will prove to be the treatment that is most productive.

Anxiety attack symptoms in women are quite common to those experienced by men; however, it has been found that the severity may be increased in women. In studies conducted by medical facilities across the nation, it has been estimated that nearly twenty million individuals in the United States suffers from at least one type of anxiety disorder. Among these individuals, it has been discovered that most patients are women. While anxiety in general may be positive in that it assists us in overcoming challenges and coping with situations that occur in life, it may become so severe that it affects an individual’s ability to cope with day to day situations and do the things that they desire. In other words, it affects the sufferer’s overall quality of life. In this anxiety disorder health guide, you will learn about anxiety attack symptoms in women.

When symptoms present themselves in a female that is experiencing unhealthy levels of anxiety, they will present themselves in a physical manner as well as an emotional manner. The anxiety attack symptoms in women will also be determined by the specific type of anxiety disorder in which the individual is suffering. Women who suffer from panic attacks associated with panic disorder are likely to experience one or more of the following symptoms:

• The initial symptom of a panic disorder attack includes feeling fearful or a sudden onset of “doom”. This typically happens quite suddenly and includes at least four accompanying symptoms.

• Many physiological based symptoms occur in the female that experiences anxiety attacks. The most common are feeling moderate to severe palpitations of the heart, experiencing a general shortness when it comes to breathing appropriately, and encountering chest pain.

• Many women may begin to sweat immensely and even feel that they are experiencing a choking sensation. This may be accompanied by body chills or breaking out into a sweat.

• It is very common for an individual suffering from panic disorder to feel their body tremble and to feel dizzy. These symptoms may or may not be accompanied by nausea, numbness with tingling sensations through the body, as well as the fear that death is imminent.

• Many women who experience anxiety attack symptoms may experience a sensation that is referred to as “Derealization”. This is a feeling that is described as feeling as if one is actually detached in one manner or another from the world itself.

Anxiety attack symptoms in women are not limited to the above mentioned symptoms. For many women, there are symptoms that are prolonged and affect the quality of life in which they experience over time. For example, if a female experiences a panic attack at a specific location, she may feel fear when it comes to the thought of visiting the location again. As a result, she will avoid that location altogether. Many will experience sleep complications, such as high levels of restlessness and insomnia. For many, cognitive difficulties will arise. These may include problems associated with concentration, the inability to remember important facts, and often feeling as if they are unable to think clearly.

Anxiety attack symptoms in women may also affect the general personality. It is not at all unusual for women to experience mood changes. These changes may occur over time, or they may happen suddenly. Examples include high levels of frustration, lashing out inappropriately, and irritability. Many may withdraw socially from others without intentions due to the fact that they experience feelings of fear or certain locations and events, or fear that they will experience an anxiety attack in front of others. Anxiety attack symptoms in women typically vary from one individual to another depending on the severity in which they suffer. The positive side to the situation is that there are numerous natural remedies that may assist a female in overcoming the symptoms in which they suffer. The most popular include specialized breathing techniques, engaging in meditation, and even basic stretching exercises.
