Everyone panics from time to time. You just spilled hot cooking oil all over the kitchen, or you lost your job, or your dog just swallowed the remote and the big game is one. But what if you had to endure a panic attack daily? I’m not talking about a simple 3 second panic over something that happens. I’m talking a [panic attack that can last up to an hour, over nothing.

Panic attacks are worse than anxiety attacks in some cases. Whereas anxiety is just a general anxious feeling panic attacks are much more powerful, and focused. Panic attacks will generally focus on one thing in particular. Sometimes if there is nothing to focus on like work you have to do, or how you’re going to pay your bills, you will just have a generalized panic attack. These can be the worst as you don’t know what you’re panicking over.

These generalized attacks can be intense and cause a great deal of fear. Sometimes you feel as if you have forgotten something extremely important. Other times you will just be some upset and stricken with panic that you will curl up on the floor. Panic attacks can cause physical illness as well. Of course this is true for all things that put mental stress on a person for long periods of time.

Doctors will generally just prescribe you a medication with more side affects than you can count. These can range anywhere from causing an increase in blood pressure, to causing blindness in some cases. As you can see taking these types of meds to solve your problem might make you worse. In addition some of them ill make you terribly drowsy so you won’t be able to function well at all.

If you want a way to treat your panic attacks without meds then there are a few things you can do. The first thing you can do is meditate every day, and when the attack hits. Doing this will keep you more mentally focused allowing you to keep your fear at bay. Secondly exercise everyday. You won’t have as much excess energy for the attack to use, and you will generally be healthier, and feel better.

A final method to avoid a panic attack daily is to practice breathing exercises to keep your calm during an attack. If you can keep your calm the attack will pass faster than it normally does. It will also not be as severe. If you combine all of the above methods and use them everyday then you are well on your way to getting rid of your panic attacks. Remember it’s your mind, if you can gain control over your fears your panic attacks will have no power.

So exercise, meditate, and practice breathing calmly during these attacks and you should see results. Plus doing it this way is a lot safer than taking medication. No liver damage or other side effects. Also remember that you are not the only one suffering from panic attack daily. Many people suffer from this problem. If you need help or advice, contact them and see if they can help. It’s easy to connect to people on the internet these days, so just find someone to talk to about it and see if you can’t help each other.

Anxiety and panic disorder symptoms are extremely troublesome to the individual that suffers from severe forms of anxiety disorder. To some degree, most teenagers and adults have experienced some form of anxiety at least once in their life. The nervousness experienced on the first day or school or starting a new job, the pounding of the heart prior to stepping in front of a crowd to conduct some type of presentation, the shallow breathing and immense tension felt when taking a driving test, the fear experienced when you see a patrol car zooming in on you with their lights on – all of these symptoms are common to the anxiety and panic disorder symptoms that sufferers experience.

It is normal to feel some form of anxiety and panic throughout your life. However, if you experience panic and anxiety that is so severe that it affects your general quality of life, you may be suffering from the physiological effects of a condition that is referred to as “anxiety disorder” or “panic disorder”. When the body perceives a situation, event, or person in life as a threat, it responds in a natural manner. This response is called “anxiety”. While there are many positive aspects to this occurrence, there are situations in which anxiety is simply excessive and overwhelming to the point that it is recognized by medical professionals as a unique medical condition that affects both the physical and mental health of the individual suffering from it.

It is important to understand that anxiety and panic disorder symptoms differ greatly from one person to another. This evidence is based on the fact that when it comes to anxiety disorder and panic disorder, there are groups of individual conditions. For example, one patient that experiences anxiety may only do so when they are subjected to crowds and another may have a fear of public places due to the fear that germs will invade their body and result in sickness. Symptoms are directly related to the exact anxiety and panic disorder that an individual suffers from. However, they can be broke down into two separate categories. These categories include physical based symptoms and symptoms that are related to the emotional side of an individual.

Anxiety and panic disorder symptoms that are physical based result from the response to a threat that the body experiences. This is typically referred to as the “fight-or-flight response”. Symptoms may include tension that occurs within the muscles throughout the body, contractions or tremors associated with the muscles, quick developing mild to severe headaches, and even complications in breathing such as fast, rapid breaths or the feeling that there is not enough air coming into the body. This may or may not be accompanied by feeling the heart pounding, sweating immensely, and feeling dizzy to the point in which it feels as if fainting will occur. In addition to this, gastrointestinal complications such as vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur. Typically, an individual that suffers from anxiety and panic disorder will often experience high levels of fatigue and potential sleep complications such as insomnia.

The emotional based anxiety and panic disorder symptoms results from the threat that the body perceives in a situation or event. As a result of the threat that the body perceives, the brain begins to feel the effect of the threat. An individual may, in turn, begin to experience symptoms such as fear and basic worry. Many patients have described the initial feeling of dread when anxiety and panic disorder symptoms begin. Severe fluctuations that are associated with the mood may begin to occur and could result in irritability, depression, and feeling restless. Many individuals will experience mental challenges such as the inability to focus as appropriate, loss of concentration, periods in which they “draw a blank”, and being easily startled. It is common for an individual to feel as if they are in immediate danger and they will actually come to anticipate that something “bad” is going to happen.

There are many medications that can be prescribed to treat anxiety and panic disorder symptoms. These include antidepressants, Tricyclics, and others that are similar in nature. In addition to medications, there are therapy options for the anxiety disorder sufferer. One can participate in specialized therapy such as “cognitive-behavior therapy” and “exposure therapy”. Unfortunately, when it comes to prescription medications, there are many negative side effects that may occur – such as more severe symptoms. Therapy, while deemed positive in most instances, can prove to be negative due to the fact that one is subjected to treatment that a particular therapist knows or practices and it may not be the right treatment for the patient as an individual. You may be pleased to know, however, that there are many natural anxiety and panic disorder treatments available that can assist in soothing the symptoms that are troublesome.

Natural breathing techniques are considered to be one of the most popular treatments for anxiety and panic disorder symptoms. When implementing the use of breathing exercises, one does not have to worry over negative side effects. The mind becomes calm and the nervous system experiences a natural “toning”. The physiological responses that pose a danger to your immediate health, such as increased blood pressure, rapid heart beats, and respiratory challenges quickly diminish when using breathing techniques. Learning to control and manipulate breathing can be extremely beneficial to reducing the negative effects of anxiety and panic disorder symptoms. If you suffer from anxiety, avoiding synthetic drugs and often intrusive therapy techniques can be a productive move. Choosing natural treatments will prove to be the treatment that is most productive.

When people have panic attacks many things occur. A feeling of helplessness is one of them. Breathing problems are another. Most people hate it when they have anxiety attack trouble breathing. Obviously they cannot breath and this only adds to the panic.

There are many ways to treat anxiety now. You can go to a doctor but all they will do is give you medication that may or may not solve the problem. In the meantime you will be exposed to chemicals that may damage your body. Usually when you tell a doctor that you have anxiety attack trouble breathing they will prescribe multiple medications.

There are natural and safe ways to manage anxiety attack trouble breathing and they work. The first method is to try exercise. Exercising every day can keep you healthy and in shape, but it also can make you feel better and burn off any extra energy that may fuel an panic attack. Plus being healthier is a good thing all around so you should do it anyway.

The second step to combating anxiety attack trouble breathing is to meditate. Meditation can be done any time of the day and the goal is to get as relaxed as possible. This relaxed state allows you to control your emotions and in some cases you’re breathing. This allows you to maintain your cool during an anxiety attack, and can help combat the loss of breathing. That is after all half of the problem during an attack of this type.

The final step to taking care of anxiety attack trouble breathing is to practice breathing exercises. These can help you maintain control over your breathing even when you are having a bad attack. This works better than meditation in some cases. Regardless it’s a good skill to practice in the event anything may happen that requires you to keep your breathing nice and even.

Anxiety attack trouble breathing seems to be on the rise with most people across the country. But who can blame people for feeling anxious in these times? Economic uncertainty, unemployment in the double digits, everywhere you look there are reasons to get into a panic about. But it’s important for one to maintain ones cool during these events. After all running around like a chicken with your head cut off won’t solve anything now will it?

Even if you do suffer from anxiety attack trouble breathing take solace in the fact that you are not alone. Many of us suffer from this problem and are in the same boat as you. If you need advice, or just want to talk to someone about it seek out others with your problem online. Many people are willing to share their experiences and offer support for your condition.

In closing dealing with anxiety attack trouble breathing can be difficult at times but remember the methods for keeping it at bay. Exercise daily and keep yourself in shape, a healthy body is a healthy mind; it also keeps you to busy to have an anxiety attack. Meditate every day and you will have a sense of calm around you. Finally practice breathing so you can keep your breathing nice and even during the attack.

When it comes to treating anxiety, there are two main methods that can be used. The first is medication and the second and most popular method is psychotherapy. It will all depend upon the severity of the anxiety as to which treatment method is actually used. If the sufferer has extreme anxiety that is affecting their everyday life, then medication will often be needed. However, most doctors will aim to treat anxiety through psychotherapy alone. This is because all kinds of issues are introduced when medication is taken, including dependency on the drugs and potential side effects.

Using Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy, or counseling as it is more commonly referred to, is the first step to treating anxiety. Addressing why you are suffering with anxiety and what triggers it, counseling helps you to understand the anxiety before it is treated. It is difficult to treat any condition without knowing its cause. So the first step is to recovery is to discover what makes you anxious and why.

Once the root of the problem is found, you will then be given exercises that will help you to control the condition. So if you suffer panic attacks because of the anxiety for example, you will be often be given breathing exercises to do the next time you recognize the symptoms of a panic attack. Counseling helps you to train the mind to react differently to certain situations. Whilst anxiety is not always completely eliminated, it can be controlled successfully through understanding and mind training.

Anxiety Medication

Medication is the last resort when it comes to treating anxiety. It is given in severe cases and it is usually only given for a short period of time. Designed to relieve anxiety by blocking various signals to the brain, medication can also act as a sleep aid too. Many sufferers find that they have trouble sleeping and that in turn can make the problem worse. So some types of medication enable better sleep.

Common anxiety drugs include Benzodiazepines which are usually only taken for up to a month. They can cause nasty side effects such as blurred vision and dizziness, but many anxiety sufferers find them extremely helpful in the short term. All anxiety medications are only given for a short period of time because there is also the danger of dependency. Overall anxiety medication should only be given in severe cases and ideally it will be combined with psychotherapy to solve the long term anxiety problem.

Potential Problems

There are potential problems that can occur when treating anxiety. The main one is that some people who are anxious a lot of the time often turn to alcohol or drugs to numb the feeling. Substance misuse can affect anxiety treatments, especially anxiety medication. Alcohol in particular is a depressant and it often makes the problem worse. So if you are having trouble with alcohol or drugs then this needs to be addressed before nay treatment is diagnosed.

Overall treating anxiety is easy once you understand the root of the problem. Counseling is the best form of treatment, but medication is sometimes needed in the short term. The best anxiety treatment is natural treatments that involve breathing and meditation.
